What is Same Day Urgent Care?

This is a GP hub set up to support practices by providing same day appointments for patients who have an urgent need on the day.

  • Appointments are available face to face and by telephone, depending on your needs.
  • This service provides both GP and ANP (Advances Nurse Practitioner) appointments.

Who is this for?

  • You may be booked into the hub by your GP practice if you contact them for a same day appointment.
  • Appointments are available for all ages.
  • This clinic is not suitable for routine appointments, these should be booked with your own GP.

This clinic is not suitable for emergency care such as chest pain, acute shortness of breath, possible strokes, head injury with loss of consciousness, severe abdominal pain, trauma (except minor sprains and pains) and all severely ill children.

If you have any of these symptoms you should go to Accident and Emergency at the hospital or call 999.

Testimonial

Dr Munir introduced and treated me with respect - checked my right knee, advised me about exercise, prescribed gel for me, and requested me to see doctor if no improvement. I would give 5*
